Each GameFace Sports Camp is designed, coached and run by Brian Jordan, one of only two athletes ever to be named an All-Star competing in both the NFL and the Major Leagues. In a career spanning 17 years, Brian played for the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Dodgers, Texas Rangers and the St. Louis Cardinals.
GameFace Sports Camps provide the ultimate baseball experience. Under Brian’s expert direction, campers run drills to learn and perfect the essentials of baseball techniques—hitting, fielding, throwing, baserunning—and compete in games to show off their skills. Throughout the two-day camp, Brian and his staff of former pros and coaches not only demonstrate how to train, but to train smart, with proper nutrition and daily exercise.
But it takes more than just improved skills to be an All-Star player. This is why Brian started GameFace Sports Camps: to help create the next generation of extraordinary athletes. At GameFace Sports Camps, athletes learn the importance of striving for excellence—on the field, in the classroom, and in life.
Where most pro players make an occasional appearance at their camps, Brian leads every camp for the duration of the camp day, coaching and giving guidance to young athletes. GameFace ensures that there’s one professional-level coach for every 15 athletes, so that everyone gets the personalized attention and instruction needed to advance their skills.
GameFace athletes are young men and women who care about their performance, not just on the field, but also in the classroom and in life. GameFace coaches are proud to be positive influences in the lives of young athletes. We know that, when coaches say studying and doing well in school are important, players listen. That’s why Brian makes academic achievement a core message at his sports camps.
Our most promising and dedicated athletes are given the opportunity to be named to our All-Star team, and invited to compete in the Stars & Stripes Winter World Series tournament in Orlando, Florida. At each camp, one boy or girl will be selected from each age group—based on fielding, throwing, hitting, baserunning, and sportsmanship—and awarded a scholarship to the tournament.
Our strength and conditioning programs are designed and led by Hammer Smith Sport’s Tripp Smith and JCS Sports’ Casey Smith, both certified sports training professionals who’ve worked with top athletes around the world for the many years. Through these programs, we teach our young athletes how to train safely and optimally and eat right, setting up the proper foundations that can last a lifetime.
We believe that baseball can be a positive experience for everyone, teaching lessons that resonate far beyond the game: setting goals, developing a good work ethic, being part of a team, and mental toughness, just to name a few. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and support from community partners, GameFace Camps is committed to providing scholarships for campers at each site.
